What's New in Spectra

Hello Spectra Users!

In this release, we are excited to introduce a significant update – the inclusion of ZipWP Organization display in the AI Features settings page of Spectra.

Now, you can directly see which organization you are in from your Spectra AI features tab.

Apart from that, we’ve also included the following improvements and fixes.

Improvements:

• Image – Added title settings for images.
• Countdown – Added role and aria-live to Countdown for better accessibility.
• Modal – Improved the accessibility of the opened Modal.
• Popup Builder – Added a setting for close icon hover color and improved accessibility.
• Inline Notice – Added support for paragraph tags instead of line breaks for an improved semantic HTML structure.

Fixes:

• Post Grid – Resolved an issue wherein the read-more button background hover color would not work as intended.
• Star Rating – Resolved an issue wherein the title would not be editable in some cases.

In this release, We have resolved the page speed issues that were encountered. Now your page speed will be restored to its optimal performance!

Apart from that, we’ve also included a ton of improvements and fixes:

Improvement:

• Image – Added a toggle to enable or disable lazy loading.
• Buttons – Implemented page scroll-to-top when an empty hash link is added.
• Buttons – Added aria-label to icon-only buttons.
• Image Gallery – Added a toggle to enable or disable lazy loading.

Fixes:

• Container – Resolved an issue wherein the Header template would not load as intended when Sticky Container is enabled.
• Container – Resolved an issue wherein the justify-content options would not work as intended in the frontend for mobile devices.
• Container – Resolved an issue wherein the container would move to the right when zooming out on a boxed-width page.
• Image – Resolved an issue wherein an empty anchor tag would be rendered on the frontend when a link was not added.
• Buttons – Resolved an issue wherein the button-child margins would not work as intended on the frontend when inherit-from-theme is selected.
• Buttons – Resolved an issue wherein the button responsive border-radius would not work as intended.
• Forms – Resolved an issue wherein the block would not load as intended in the editor when the confirmation type was set to URL text.
• Image Gallery – Resolved an issue wherein the page would not be scrollable when the masonry layout was selected.
• Post Grid – Resolved an issue wherein the read-more link hover color would not work as intended on the frontend.
• Table Of Contents – Resolved an issue wherein the headings would not work as intended when translated with the Chrome translator extension.
• Table Of Contents – Added compatibility with translation plugins.
• Tabs – Resolved an issue wherein the block would break in the editor when icons are enabled and a new tab is added.
• Popup Builder – Resolved an issue wherein the Popup Builder would not work as intended when all blocks were deactivated.

In this release, We have made an adjustment to disable the Quick Access Bar (QAB) for all existing users. This change applies to users who may have had QAB enabled or disabled in previous versions.

Apart from that, we’ve also included the following improvements and fixes:

Improvement:

• Quick Action Bar – Removed the Quick Action Bar when in Distraction-free mode and when not in Full-screen mode.

Fixes:

• Image Gallery – Resolved an issue wherein the images would not load as intended due to lazy loading.
• Tabs – Resolved an issue wherein the border width would not work as intended for mobile devices.

• AI Assistant – Fixed the fatal error issue that would occur with a few other plugins.

The AI Assistant has been enhanced to be accessible outside the editor, providing flexibility for users whether they are on frontend or working anywhere in the WordPress area. Additionally, with the latest update, the AI Assistant now allows you to select any text outside the editor and use it as context, ensuring relevant and contextual assistance in various digital activities.

These updates collectively aim to enhance the user experience, making Spectra blocks and the AI Assistant more convenient and powerful tools for your daily tasks.

• Global – Added a filter to modify the icons in the Spectra Icon Picker.
• Global – Added a negative value range to linear-gradient location for background styles.

Fixes:

• Image Gallery – Resolved an issue where block was showing error when Lightbox preview was enabled in editor.
• Image Gallery – Resolved the stacking issue on Safari during the initial load when choosing the masonry layout.
• Popup Builder – Resolved an issue wherein dynamic blocks inside popups would not be visible on the fronted.
• Tabs – Resolved an issue wherein the layout on the frontend would appear inconsistently when a title with bold text is present.
• Global – Resolved an issue wherein all icons would appear enlarged in the Twenty Sixteen Theme.
• Global – Resolved an issue wherein the template styles for some WooCommerce templates would not load as intended in FSE themes.

• Image Gallery – Resolved an issue wherein the custom URL would not appear as valid without ‘www’ in some cases.

• Core – Updated asset URL generation logic to prevent caching issues.

• Container – Resolved the background overlay glitches in the style settings.
• FAQ – Resolved an issue in which the answer tab would be opened by default if the content had a paragraph or break tag.
• Icon – Resolved an issue wherein the icon would appear enlarged in the Twenty Seventeen theme.
• Info Box – Resolved an issue wherein the page would reload upon clicking on the Info Box with the call-to-action set as complete box.
• Post Grid – Resolved an issue wherein the featured image border-radius would not be applied and the image would overflow.
• Global – Resolved an issue in which the Customizer responsive buttons would not work as intended.
